After some 56 years old school friends get together again!

I thought it was a great day, and many thanks to Miriam for organising  it.
The venue was great, the company was even better!

I hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did.

Here are a few stills I managed to get and I am hoping, perhaps, some of the other girls will send me some more.

Update: We have found another "Westleigh Girl"!

I really thought that when I finished this blog back in 2009 that I had finished it. I had forgotten about it actually!

I started a couple of other blogs, (one now deleted), and was asked to help on several others so I was otherwise preoccupied.

Many thanks to Wendy and Miriam for leaving comments. I was amazed and delighted to hear from a few ex-pupils.

I think it took me months to realise that anyone had even looked at the blog, much less left a comment!

At least after that happened I became more aware of the possibility, and began checking a little more often.

Both Miriam and Wendy helped jog my memory along and I am very appreciative of that!

But I guess the biggest surprise was the fact that we have had another “Westleigh Girl” drop in.

Miriam mentioned Harry Blutstein.

Harry, my apologies. Somehow I don’t recall you at all, but thankfully Miriam did.

I would also like to thank you very much for sending me your photo.

We can now add some more information of historical importance.

I can also report that the blog has had several ‘hits’ from people overseas with very specific search queries so I am going to assume, rightly or wrongly, that some of our ex-pupils are in different countries.

Introduction

This site is about a school that existed last century, in Northcote.
Northcote is a suburb of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.

There is very little on the internet about this school so I have decided to put up some of the things I recall about it.

I hope that there are other ex-students out there that are perhaps looking for information about Westleigh College who may, in time, find this site and contact me with further information.

I realise many ex-students may no longer be around, and many would possibly have changed their name as well.

The school was situated in James Street - close to the Northcote Townhall.
